Scenic Caves in Collingwood

David really liked this sign.  The climb to the caves was more challenging than we expected.
There were a number of good lookout spots on the way.
 Paul is getting so tall!
This is the historic spot where a Petun Native would remove the brains of the dead so they could enjoy the afterlife without painful memories.

Daniel and Paul squeezed through Fat Man's Misery.  David and I owned our chubbiness and went the easier route.
Of course, this sign just begged Daniel to climb so he could get his pic taken with it.
I liked the backlighting at this spot.
 Paul posed on Preacher's Pulpit.
I like the lighting on Daniel in this one.
The forest trail part of the excursion was less exciting so I asked the boys to run for the camera.  Daniel went the extra mile and did a flying leap for me.
I don't often get the boys together in photos these days so I really like this one.
David knows how to make me laugh!  I love this goofy shot of him.
My shot wasn't as cutesy but I still think it's one of the better ones of myself.
I thought these fences lining the trails were so beautiful.
Daniel and David were pretty good at fence walking.
Paul is a little camera shy so I'm happy I got some pics of him today.
It's hard to believe that soon my baby will be fifteen.
Where there are stairs there are interesting ways to descend if your name is Daniel.
 Monkey see, monkey do.
David was fascinated with the rainbow trout in the lake.
David took a break whenever he could.
 Ride 'em cowboy!
I made Paul sit here so he displayed how unhappy he was about it.
David suggested both boys sit together with Shrek.  Their faces tell how they feel about it.
David made a new friend en route to the suspension bridge.
I warmed up to the beaver myself.

Daniel and Paul were so good about having their picture taken.  Here they are on the suspension bridge.
Daniel had to rock the bridge.
 The view was really good.
My leading man looks good on a suspension bridge.
It's days like today that I realize how privileged I am to be in relationship with these men.
They make a day trip a lot of fun.

David

We went brook trout fishing on Carlyon Line.  Well, David went brook trout fishing.  I followed him around and took pictures.  Funny how I have none of him actually fishing.  Oh well!  It was a beautiful day to enjoy the local scenery.

Dandelion Parachutes

He's getting so tall he's hitting his head on things but he's still my little boy and if I beg a little I can still get him to do things he really doesn't feel like doing so I can snap a few pics.  We have dandelions in abundance.  Rather than moan about them, I decided to make the most of them and thankfully my boy cooperated beautifully with me.  I can't help but smile looking at this young man.

Sweet Sixteen

Eating dessert first.

He liked the card.

What was in the card, he liked even better.

His pick for dinner.

Everyone trying to be cooperative for the camera.

Showing off the birthday manatee his brother drew for him.

Birthday manatee?  I don't pretend to understand teenage boys.

Happy Sweet Sixteen D!
